what i think this quote means is that your goals in life are just like the goal post in the ones like  football. if football don't or can't see the goal post then you it is going to also happen to because you don't know where your goals are at and you won' get that far because you can't see how far
are you from your goal.goal if you are trying to accomplish something like you get an A in math class but you can't because you keep getting distcatced because of other stuff  then those post goals go away for you
